ABOUT MIST
MIST's mission is to further U.S. National Security and Defense strategies by providing MDA and military intelligence capabilities to the U.S. and U.S. foreign partners. MIST accomplishes this mission by leveraging our team's extensive experience in maritime intelligence, law, cyber, and systems engineering. All services are provided at the U.S. unclassified and releasable levels. Training and MDA collection systems services are registered and compliant with the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Our Team

E. Fitzmaurice
Sr. Partner, Cyber & Law
Mr. Fitzmaurice is an experienced U.S. Intelligence Community veteran. At the National Security Agency (NSA), Mr. Fitzmaurice led teams of analysts tackling critical intelligence requirements. As a licensed attorney, Mr. Fitzmaurice focused on maritime law and its application to defense activities. Mr. Fitzmaurice is also MIST's Cyber and Human Rights Training lead.

W. Walsh
Sr. Partner, MDA Systems & Consulting
Mr. Walsh is an experienced U.S. Intelligence Community veteran. As a U.S. Naval intelligence officer, Mr. Walsh served at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV), U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), and U.S. Navy SEAL teams. Before joining MIST, Mr. Walsh served as the ONI Deputy Director of Technical Collections, responsible for global U.S. Navy collection efforts with U.S. foreign partners.

J. McFadden
General Counsel, Sr. Legal Consultant
Mr. McFadden is a veteran lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. A Navy veteran, nuclear engineer, and AmLaw 100 litigator, Mr. McFadden's combined experience in engineering, military service, and military law is unmatched. His corporate legal experience includes time at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering; Steptoe & Johnson (Partner); and Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young (Partner). Mr. McFadden serves as MIST's senior international maritime law consultant and ITAR compliance officer.

G. Ulery
Sr. Contracts Administrator
Mr. Ulery is a U.S. Navy veteran and experienced defense contract administrator. A University of Connecticut Law School alum, nuclear engineer, and engineering contracts manager, Mr. Ulery's experience is vast and critical to MIST's services. In the Navy, Mr. Ulery completed nuclear prototype and was assigned to submarine service. After Navy service, he managed major engineering contracts at Pratt & Whitney, General Dynamic Electric Boat, Curtiss-Wright Aircraft, Raytheon, and UTC Sikorsky.

Instructors & Consultants
MIST independently contracts a variety of industry-leading experts and consultants. Each consultant is thoroughly vetted and selected for each specific partner case. MIST consultants include former U.S. Navy senior intelligence officers, Navy systems engineers, legal experts, and other professionals to provide the highest tier of training, consulting, and collection systems design.
